1.) Use Professional theme from either CMSTHEME.com or Pliggtemplates.eu.

2.) Remove “Powered by Pligg CMS”. Sorry to say but this is necessary to eliminate spam submits.

3.) Use Recaptcha for the registration.

4.) Enable Confirmation (verify) through Email from configuration.

5.) Add Google ads or other ads. on link summary, Submit steps, sidebar, and headers.

6.) Use Text link ads similar to Adbrite.

7.) Submit RSS Feed to Google Webmaster tools, Yahoo Site Explorer, and MSN Webmaster tools. If you have installed  XML site map, then submit same site map to all the above resources.

8.) Ping Regularly the pligg site using auto pinger or so. You can purchase premium module from pligg shop.

9.) Install Rss Importer and add those feeds, which serve best in the interest of the content of your site.

10.) Change the Register.php and submit.php to any other name if you know how to.

11.) Try to submit stories from related site and try to go to those site after submitting stories. If the webmaster of that site is active, he will come to know that he is getting traffic from your site and once he see your site, he might bookmark you site and submit news daily in your site.

12.) Try to update meta tags in the file meta.tpl (From Template folder)

13) Last but not the least, Regularly Publish Important Stories and Discard spam from the admin panel.

This post is not based on what I have listen or what I have seen on others site or forums. This is my personal opinion based on my own experience.

I am big fan of Cricket (BIggest sports in India) and for that reason I have 80% sites related to cricket. I wanted that I must a make site which has its own identity rather then making it a site behind the screen. It should be on the screen only. I tried to analyze the content of other sites and found that no sites are related to bookmarking of cricket articles. Although I found some where you may find Cricket Bookmarking but they were mixed with other content.  So, I decided to launch www.CricketGod.in and in the early I stage I was getting a very few traffic. I worked hard to submit the news from other cricket sites and reached total of 15,000+ articles in the cricketgod.in. At last I am getting success. Traffic is increasing at stable rate which I wanted.

I am not behind to get huge traffic at once then lost identity, rather then that I wanted to have site which grows with time and establish in the niche.

So what I wanted from visitors that, they should first of choose a target market for their website. Example, If you a fan of Rugby, then you should analyze what type of sites are available on this niche. Suppose, if, there is no site for bookmarking of Rugby then you can open (for e.g. rugbydig.com) and try to submit articles to your own site from others site. Remember, you need to submit yourself most of articles at the first instance. Also, remember that you have no article not related with your site objective. This is very important. Also spammers will submit lot of unwanted sites through computer bots, so keep eye on them.

If you try by hard without thinking on Adsense or Adbrite earnings then you will get success, this is what I learnt from Internet.

I want to tell you today how to bookmark your post of blog or page of website to many bookmarking site with just single click. Nor this is spam nor are we using paid automatic bookmarking system. We are using online portal for that.

1) Update your content often and regularly and ping it through method i mention in the earlier post.

2) Ensure you have taken good hosting provider. We recommend Hostgator as they provide best and cheapest hosting service world-wide.

3) Keep page load minimum. Keep less images and more content. More load time will reduce your other page crawling.

4) Any duplicate content not tolerated by Google. So dont post again and again same content.

5) Get more back links from regularly crawled sites. For this you can use commenting on your site related blogs.

6) Adjust the crawl speed via Google Webmaster tools. Usually normal or fast but you can go for slow if you want to reduce bandwidth.

7) Add a sitemap to your ftp. Either you can make autositemap generator through script or you can create sitemap once in a week through online sitemap generator. We use XML Sitemap.

8.) Make sure your server returns the correct header response. Does it handle your error pages properly? Usually this is always perfect. But if not you need to understand bit and mail to your hosting provider. Actually this is related with .htaccess file.

9) Make sure you have unique title and meta tags for each of your pages. Dont and never use duplicate tags and keywords. Title is most important.

10) Monitor Google crawl rate for your site and see what works and what not. You can use either statcounter or google anlaytics
